Pessimists Are Usually Right

There is a sort of maniacal happiness trend lately. To only focus on the positive. I'm not in favor of it.

Happiness on its own is lovely. Pure. Unadulterated. You shouldn't have to force it.

If you're not organically happy, something is wrong, and it's most likely not you. Your gut is telling you something is off. Listen to it. Decipher it.

Find the source and examine it closely. Is it fear? Anger? Frustration? Jealousy?

Because as the old saying goes:

Pessimists Are Usually Right

Figure that shit out now, because if you don't, it will creep back up when you least expect it. Suppressing is depressing. See what I did there?

Looking at what's wrong is just as important at looking at what's right. Because if you do it correctly, you'll eventually have plenty more of what's right.

And there's nothing wrong with that.
