Vacation Had To Get Away

"Hey, let's walk to the end of the island!"

"Um...I can SEE the end of the island from here. It looks hella nice, but I'm good right here in the cabana. Let's compromise by walking to the bar to get another sangria."

...Vacation...Had to Get Away.

Fact: vacation time in a new-to-you city means juggling the emotion of I Wanna See Everything with the exact opposite emotion of I Wanna Be Lazy And Relax.

Fun Fact: vacation time is more precious than non-vacation time.

A Simple Fact: My husband and I are probably having this exact conversation as you read this.

Sad Fact: This is not the first time we've had this talk.

Places We've Had A Version of This Conversation: Chicago, Rome, Paris, Savannah, Tybee, Miami, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Atlanta, Hilton Head, Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, once in Midway Airport, and twice in the Vatican Museum.

Fig Marigold / Idleness

Howdy cowgirls and cowboys...how's every little thing? I've scheduled this post to go live while I'm out of town, so this particular letter/meaning combo couldn't come at a better time. This post is part of a Blogging A To Z series where I write a new, personal story almost every day (except Sundays).
