let's play
Listen up darlings, and listen well: it is 100% inevitable that at some point you will feel burned out. And it is 100% likely you will feel awful about it. In fact, you may even feel a little frazzled at this moment...am I right? Hmm? What I mean is, I understand. I'm struggling with the same thing, too. I'm supposed to be relaxed at the end of summer, not tense and unsure! How in the world am I supposed to take that anxious feeling and parlay it into any sort of creativity or curiosity? Here's how...
I decided to play.
Every day. Even if it's just for ten minutes a day. I sang along bad radio pop music while I drove to the grocery store. I made poems out of junk mail. I played many, many rounds of Words With Friends. I went whitewater rafting. I played with fire and made a glass paperweight. I discovered that I actually like apricots. And then I created a monster of a creative playbook to keep up my momentum. It's called BRB: 30 Days of Creative Play, and it's one of the coolest things I've ever done. It's a month of creative prompts, delivered as a 30+ page workbook, complete with printer-friendly worksheets. And because you get the whole shebang at once, you can complete the activities whenever you choose...not on anyone else's schedule. Wanna do a creative challenge every day for a month? Then choose one activity every day for thirty days. Or split up the activities and do one whenever the spirit moves you.
It's gorgeous, it's printable, and I'm super proud of it. I'd love it if you checked it out. And because I love you so much, right now it's available for the never this low again, not ever in a million years, have you lost your mind, Erica price of $5.
I know you'll love it as much as I do. Grab your copy here. And let's play together...tweet me or email me to show your work!
